¡Buenos Días! The students have been working on conjugating -ar verbs in the present tense and creating sentences using those verbs and vocabulary from Capítulo 3.

Last week, students worked with a partner or in a group to write a skit using -ar verbs and vocabulary from Capítulo 3 (going shopping for school supplies or school clothes).  This week (Monday and Tuesday), students will debut their hard work and their acting skills.  This should be fun and entertaining.

Next week, we'll begin Capítulo 4 - En la Escuela
 * talk about going to school
 * talk about some school activities
 * greet people and ask how they feel
 * tell how you feel
 * describe where you and others go
 * describe where you and others are
 * discuss some differences between schools in the United States and schools in Spanish-speaking countries.

Until next time....¡Hasta luego!

Wednesday, October 14, 2015

If you walked by my classroom in the past week, you would have heard the students telling time in Spanish.

We are still working on the verb ser, articles and adjectives.

We will begin Capítulo 3 - Las Compras para la escuela (identifying and describing school supplies, articles of clothing, and colors)

Tomorrow, students will take their 9 weeks test.

¡Hasta luego!

¡Hola! We're four weeks into school and the students have learned greetings, farewells, days of the week, months of the year and the seasons.

We are beginning Capítulo 1 (Un Amigo o Una Amiga).
In this chapter students will learn to describe people and things, numbers 0-100, conjugate the verb ser, articles (definite and indefinite), and gender and number agreement.

Ask your student to share something they learned in class.

Thanks for visiting my blog. ¡Hasta luego!
